All schools struggle with food and drink packaging at lunch hour and in some case waste is disposed of on the school grounds and not in the bins provided. Students should organise a lunch time clean sweep while encouraging fellow students to take responsibility for their own waste. Each week, designate a clean-up captain for each area, and make the captains responsible for getting tasks done. Provide captains with and incentive to award other students who pitch in to help.
