Bin thinking about getting in touch?
Neat Streets is a 1 year programme divided up into a number of primary stages over the academic year from registration to awards to help participants run a successful campaign. Neat Streets is here to provide you with more information, answer any questions you may have and to help make the Neat Streets Programme a success in your school.
Once your schools registration has been confirmed, schools should organise the first school visit with the Neat Streets Officer, which is the introductory session. In addition, after the school has completed the first school visit, there are a number of Neat Streets Sessions to choose from should your school need support.
Each school is different and may require a specific session(s) which caters to their needs.
*COVID-19 Virtual school visits and sessions will be facilitated throughout the year until it is safe to return to in-person interactions.
Neat Streets Sessions: Your environment, your choice.

Neat Streets Programme Manager
Ireland is currently in a war against waste. Or is it a race to transition to a more sustainable lifestyle? One thing is certain, positive change will come from you and me, for us. The problem of litter and waste has become so large scale that we must step in and put right the mistakes or misdeeds of others. Schools have massive potential to be a vehicle of positive change not only within its walls but in the wider community. My great passion is to empower young people and to awaken in them a connection to our natural world. One in which inspires them to value the place that we live and in using that sense of belonging, change behaviours. Neat Streets is the home of the NOW generation.
Speaking in front of an audience and understanding scientific knowledge is the easy part. Communicating the severity of the issues and the solutions is the challenging part. By taking part in the programme you will gain a wealth of knowledge and learn how to frame an environmental message and communicate it effectively to both fellow students and community.
My educational background includes a MSc in Environmental Policy from University College Dublin. I have a PGrad Dip in Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc in Environmental Science & Health from Dublin City University.
