Bug hotels are easy to make, can be assembled from recycled, or up-cycled materials, and can provide a home for insect for many years. These hotels are vital for all manner of insects to find shelter year-round. Insect and pollinator habitats are dwindling due to large-scale commercial farming, hedgerow removal and human population growth. Students could build a bug hotel for the school grounds in order to encourage and protect our pollinators.
